Austin Heffernan

 

Austin Heffernan is a passionate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy Master's Degree program at Central CT State University. His therapy work comes from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Structural Family Therapy, and a belief in offering authentic client-centered care, helping individuals and families to unlock their inner potential to heal. His focus is working with LGBT youth, women, and people seeking to enrich the meaning in their lives, so they can become experts of their own mental health and personal growth. He currently works with families and adolescents at a residential treatment center, helping them to overcome trauma, enhance personal relationships, and develop their strengths.

 

Austin has immediate openings on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9 am to 1pm and Tuesdays 9 am to 3 pm at West Hartford Therapy Center. He welcomes people of all different backgrounds.
